How can we help?
Care Dimensions announced it was selected by The Parmenter Foundation of Wayland for a $16,000 grant, a combination of the foundation’s COVID-19 crisis response grant and Cycle 1 grant program.
Care Dimensions is using the grant to support its Family Fund and Employee Emergency Assistance Fund, which help offset unplanned, non-medical expenses a hospice diagnosis can create for patients, and unavoidable financial circumstances resulting from the pandemic that could hamper the clinical staff’s ability to support patients. Funds also support the acquisition of a set of Pocket Talkers which help hearing-impaired patients remain engaged with their care teams and active in their care planning.
“We are very grateful for Parmenter’s generous partnership in providing compassionate end-of-life care for Metro West patients and caregivers as well as support for our clinical employees affected adversely by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Care Dimensions Vice President of philanthropy Donna Deveau. “It’s an honor to serve the MetroWest community and we are humbled by The Parmenter Foundation’s recognition of our vital role in the community to help patients and their loved ones navigate serious illness with our whole-person approach to care.”
“Care Dimensions’ efforts are critical to achieving our shared goals of supporting MetroWest residents and ensuring access to serious illness care and bereavement support,” said Angela Crocker, executive director of The Parmenter Foundation. “We seek to fund innovations and resources that help build resiliency and promote healing for our MetroWest neighbors and families experiencing incredibly difficult times, and we are proud to partner with Care Dimensions as a leader in that mission.”
