How can we help?
Care Dimensions invites health care professionals and the community to attend a free, live Zoom meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 6, “I’ve Got My Game On: Insights from Trans Elders on Well-Being in Later Life,” presented by photographer Jess T. Dugan, left, and Vanessa Fabbre, licensed clinical social worker.
They will discuss their book, “To Survive on This Shore: Photographs and Interviews with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Older Adults.”
Dugan and Fabbre traveled coast to coast, seeking to document the life stories of elders living within the complex intersections of gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, socioeconomic class and geographic location.
